Round 1 of the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Supercross FIM World Championship is just a few days away. Who will come out on top of the 450 Class in Anaheim? Take a look at BikeBandits Top Picks coming into 2020…
We’re gonna spice things up a bit with some older pictures of these riders because it’s the end of a decade and it’s kind of cool to see some RETRO shots…
Eli Tomac needs no introduction. The man has won 3 Motocross Championships back-to-back-to-back! The speed and the riding ability is there, but he’s still managed to give up the last 3 Supercross Championships away to Cooper Webb, Jason Anderson, and Ryan Dungey. Will 2020 finally be his year in Supercross?
Cooper Webb made a switch to KTM last year after not doing so well on his jump to the blue 450 the year prior to that. The bike obviously suited him better, and he seemed to adapt well to the training program. With this drastic change, Cooper Webb managed to win the 2019 Supercross Championship. Will he be the man to beat in 2020?
Yup. We didn’t see too much from Osbourne last year due to injury. But if you’ve seen the man ride you know he’s got that hunger to take the first win of the season and carry the momentum on for the other 16 rounds.
Kenny is no stranger to winning races and winning championships, or winning at Anaheim. He’s had some bad luck these past couple of years due to injury, but despite the bad luck, Ken Roczen managed to place 4th last year in the season points championship. This dude is lucky to even be alive, let alone riding and placing in the top 5 against the world’s best.
As you all may know, we can talk and speculate all we want but we have no idea what’s going to happen until that gate drops on Saturday, January 4th 2020. There’s plenty of other names that can squeeze their way into the podium or take the top spot. Some of these names include Blake Baggett, Justin Barcia, Justin Bogle, Jason Anderson, Justin Brayton, Joey Savatgy, Adan Cianciarulo, Dean Wilson, Malcolm Stewart, etc.
All we can do is sit back and enjoy it all! We’re witnessing the world’s best Supercross racers duke it out in a stadium filled with the most wonderful smell of VP Racing Fuel where literally anything can happen! Just because your favorite rider got the hole-shot doesn’t mean he’s going to win the race! Just because your favorite rider wins Anaheim 1 doesn’t mean he’s going to win the Championship! Let’s see what 2020 has in store for us. See you guys out there!
